Hire Terms and Conditions

  1. We try to keep our terms & conditions as simple as possible so if you place an order for hire with “One Off Services Ltd” (OOS), then OOS will submit a written quotation where appropriate, otherwise the deposit invoice will be posted or emailed out to the customer along with our terms & conditions of hire and they will be deemed to be accepted upon payment of the deposit.
  2. The period of hire unless stated upon the quote/invoice is for up to 3 days – day 1 the delivery/collection date, day 2 the day hire items are used, day 3 the return/collection date. The main exception to this is for the sweet cart hire.
  3. All hire goods remain the property of One Off Services Ltd, and all goods ordered and supplied for hire are charged whether they are used or not.  A refundable deposit of £100 will be held by OOS – this can be by cash or cheque, it will be returned once the hire items are checked back in to stock.  We will always give you a chance to find any missing items before charging you by invoice.
  4. A 25% minimum deposit of the hire value must be made at the time of the booking – an invoice is issued for this and payment can be made by bank transfer (BACS) or cash.  We only accept cheques by prior arrangement. A further invoice will be sent for the balance and must be paid 60 days prior to collection or delivery of the hire items.
  5. In the unlikely event of cancellation of your order, please make sure the notice is sent in writing by email to : hire@oneoffservices.co.uk the following cancellation charges will apply:
  6. More than 60 days prior to the event – the deposit will be returned
  7. Less than 60 days prior to the event – 100% hire charges apply to the order
  8. Please make sure all hire items are scraped or emptied, or in the case of linen that it is all shaken out and everything placed back into the crates provided by us, where possible in the same crates they were delivered in, this helps to avoid any damage. We accept light spillage of liquids on the table linen.
  9. Cleaning – our hire prices include the dish washing/hand washing of all crockery, glass & laundering of linen, however, even though it is unlikely to happen at your event, it does not include damage or loss of any items.  These will be charged separately by invoice after the event – please see our list for replacement prices.
  10. We do want you to enjoy hiring our products and we would ask you to look after them as if they are your own, but please let us know if anything gets broken or damaged by keeping it separate & labelled away from the main hire items, and returning it to us carefully wrapped for us to dispose of.
